About Emiliano De Laurentiis

In 1981 Emiliano founded Arrakis Systems Inc., a company that developed SOCRATES, the first adaptive computer learning environment. Arrakis went on to develop over twenty-four educational software products for high school that were published in partnership with Simon & Schuster, Inc. and Prentice-Hall, Inc.

In 1991 Emiliano founded LifeLong Software, Inc. (later to become Lifelong.com) which produced award-winning Internet content such as Monster Math. Monster Math was in use by over 6,000 students a month in four different languages. Lifelong.com reached a million hits a month. Lifelong.com also developed a Learning Management System (LMS) based on my teaching and learning methodologies. In 2008 it was licensed to the People's Republic of China.

Knowledge Environments, Inc. has recently developed and published interactive online content in the fields of technology, history, science, environmental education, and management.

We are currently working on an intelligent, adaptive learning environment that anyone can program.
