Structure

To have structure means that one concept is related to another concept. This relationship is represented with a verb such as "is."

They may be ordered (where one concept always follows another concept), or they may be unordered (where concepts can be learned independent of each other).

EXAMPLES OF CONCEPT STRUCTURE

  • The "world is round." The concept WORLD relates to the concept ROUND by the verb IS.
  • "Arithmetic includes addition." The concept ARITHMETIC relates to the concept ADDITION by the verb INCLUDES.
